Just a Little Tidbit About Me
I was born and raised in Teutopolis, Illinois. I entered Eastern Illinois University right out of high school and graduated from there with a bachelor's degree in special education. I am in my 30th year teaching with 18 of those being at Tuscola High School.
My husband Jim and I raised two kids in the 301 school district. Shane is married to Maryssa and is a welder living in Dixon, Illinois. They have 2 children, Lucy Clare and Stella Sonny. Kayce works and lives in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I have been fortunate enough to help raise two step-daughters. Tonya and her husband live in Lafayette, Indiana with my two grandchildren, Austin and Karmen. Amanda lives here in town with two more of my grandchildren, Hector and Olivia. Being a grandparent is a blast!
I finished my master's degree in community counseling at EIU in 2004. I am a therapist for Elliott Counseling Group as my night time career.
